In-Person supervision and consultation in Asheville
& online supervision and consultation in North Carolina & California

You have had some disempowering experiences in your learning and in past consultation and supervision. Even with good (or decent) clinical training, you know that continued clinical consultation and supervision are essential to your well-being as a therapist and crucial for good clinical outcomes with your clients.

You love the work you do, and you are committed to becoming the best therapist you can be. You are committed to being a lifelong learner and providing high-quality psychotherapy services. You need a place to process the clinical aspects that come up in the work, like countertransference, impasses, enactments, and parallel process. As well as grapple with nuances of business and clinical decisions as well as what it is like to be a therapist in a small community.  You are all about having good boundaries and you don't want to leave your anti-oppression priorities outside of the therapy room.

My Approach to Clinical Supervision and Consultation

I believe that our time together in consultation/ supervision is integral to effective therapeutic outcomes in the therapy room. To be the therapist you dreamed you would become, you need a soft place to land so that the vulnerable aspects of clinical material can be grappled with and explored.

Together we will co-create a supervisory relationship that is curious, non-judgmental, and that moves at the speed of the relationship. I believe in a trauma-informed approach to clinical supervision that is highly collaborative, transparent, and tends to unearned power and privilege. Together we will build a feedback-rich culture where we can both give and receive feedback that is in service of your clinical growth, the supervisory relationship, and collective liberation.
